MEET JANAINA
Meet Janaina Campoy, a journalist turned marketing and communications professional who has always had a deep love for words—how they can inspire, uplift, and, most importantly, shift emotions. From a young age, she’s been collecting phrases that spoke to her soul, writing down affirmations and thoughts that helped her navigate life’s ups and downs. These phrases, once hidden in notebooks and scraps of paper, have now found a home in Kiki's beautifully crafted designs.
Born in São Paulo with Spanish roots on both sides, Janaina’s multicultural background and global perspective are reflected in everything she does. She calls London home and considers herself an interculturalist, passionate about exploring the richness of different cultures, languages, and experiences. Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, English, and Italian, Janaina thrives in environments where diversity and connection are at the forefront.
Known for her outgoing and energetic nature, Janaina brings boundless enthusiasm to every project she touches on. Whether curating the perfect phrase, developing new ideas, or connecting with others. At The Motivational Type, Janaina is dedicated to creating content that resonates deeply, inspiring others to dream big, stay positive, and reach their full potential.

Introducing Kiki Machado, the creative force behind the vibrant designs at The Motivational Type. Trained as a graphic designer, Kiki is a visual artist who channels the colors, energy, and exuberance of her native Brasil into every piece she creates. Her work is a celebration of life, filled with dynamic, uplifting designs that elevate moods and inspire joy.
Kiki has a special passion for mixed media and collage, often repurposing discarded paper to craft art that is as emotionally resonant as it is visually stunning. Her unique approach not only gives new life to materials that would otherwise be thrown away but also infuses each piece with a sense of renewal and transformation—a perfect metaphor for the positive impact her designs have on those who see them.
Based in London, Kiki is deeply connected to her local community. She serves as co-chair of the Crouch End Open Studios art collective and runs art workshops in Haringey, using art as a tool for connection and expression. Through her work and community involvement, Kiki’s goal is to share the vibrant spirit of her culture while fostering creativity and inclusivity in every corner of her life. .
